The history of manufacturing in Coventry is well known but its Clock making history has left a less significant mark. The Watch and Clock making industry began to grow from the 1740’s up to about 1920. During this period Coventry was one of the main manufacturers of clocks in England and employed several thousand people.
Osberg & Martin has re-imagined clock making by manufacturing handmade clocks, which are inspired by history yet designed for the future. We offer a range of finishes that are both luxurious and subtle enough to blend into many different styles of home interior.
Finally the clock is paired by an 8 day mechanical movement, something that is not regularly seen in most modern day clocks of this type.
The clock is finished with it's own unique Brass name plate. This engraved plate provides the owner with the clocks individual issue number and it's manufacturing completion date.
If powder coating is too modern for your taste, then it's possible to select something more traditional. Finished with 24 carat Gold plated fittings and a silver effect body, this style of clock is one of Osberg & Martins flagship clocks.
WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
“I am a very proud owner of an Osberg & Martin clock. It sits pride of place in our surgery waiting room and is a stunning focal point. We receive many positive comments about the clock from admiring patients, some of whom I think have even purchased one for their homes. It brings a real sense of grandeur to the room and I have been very happy with the purchase. Their MD, Mr. Powell, very kindly travelled to London to personally deliver the clock and set it up for us. The customer service we experienced was first class.”
