The history of manufacturing in Coventry is well known but its Clock making history has left a less significant mark. The Watch and Clock making industry began to grow from the 1740s up to about 1920. During this period Coventry was one of the main manufacturers of clocks in England and employed several thousand people.
Osberg & Martin manufacture bespoke, handmade clocks, which are inspired by history and designed for the future. We have drawn on the best aspects of product design to create a clock that is innovative, yet classic, in its design. The customer has a wide choice of colours, finishes and decoration that will create a clock that it is absolutely unique to them. The clock is powered by an 8 day, mechanical clock movement and is also equipped with an under slung, 5 rod Westminster chime.
Please see below for detailed features of the Osberg & Martin design.

As a customer of Osberg and Martin you will be able to enjoy a number of unique features. We complete all engraving on site, which can be seen depicted in this blue powder coated clock face.
It is also within our ability to complete engraving on the body of the clock, to satisfy customer requirements.
In addition to the element of bespoke engraving, we also offer the possibility of upgrading your clock to include Swarovski crystals.
One of the most popular ways of including crystals is to line each hourly increment. When caught by the light, they glimmer with all the colours in the visible spectrum, adding a real sense of superior elegance to the piece.
There are a number of different surface finishes available. From powder coating to plating with precious metals, it all comes down to preference and how an Osberg & Martin clock fits in with your existing home décor.
There are many examples on this site, of what can be achieved by customising your clock. In this instance the clock shown has a Carmine Red, powder coated body, contrasted by Copper Plated fittings.
If powder coating is too modern for your taste, then it is possible to select something more traditional. Finished with 24 carat Gold plated fittings and a Silver effect body, this style of clock is one of Osberg & Martins flagship clocks.
The clock is finished with it's own unique Brass name plate. This engraved plate provides the owner with the clocks individual issue number and it's manufacturing completion date.
Finally the clock is powered by an 8 day mechanical movement, something that is not regularly seen in most modern day clocks of this type.
